Answers

1. I can’t access Vita Europe’s ondine services

In order to access Vita Europe’s online services you must be a registered user. Registration is free. To register: click on the link “Enter or Register” located in the top right hand corner of the blue header. Start the registration process by clicking on “Not a registered user yet?”. When filling out the registration form, remember that the fields marked with the red asterisk are obligatory!

2. I can’t login using the User id and password I gave myself when I registered to the website

Confirmation of registration is sent via an email that contains your login details (User id and password) as well as a link that will activate your account. You must confirm the veracity of your account by clicking on this link; only then will you be able to log in to Vita Europe.

3. I am a registered user and have logged in before but now the system refuses to let me in

Make sure that the information you have inserted into the login form is correct.
If you have used the “Forgotten password” function you will be sent a new password that has bee automatically generated by the system. If you do not receive an email shortly after soliciting a new password check your unwanted mail box, the email may have been marked as SPAM.

4. I have registered my details with Vita Europe but there are a few mistakes. How can I correct them?

To change your profile information: once you have logged in, click on “Welcome/ name surname” on the header at the top of the home page. The page will slide down and a menu panel will appear to the left. This is your user control panel. Click on “Profile”, modify the details you wish to change and click on the confirm button.

5. I have uploaded a picture of myself / the logo of my organisation during the registration procedure / when modifying my profile, but it isn’t being displayed. What’s wrong?

Check that the image you have uploaded is in .jpg and weighs less than 100kb. Also make sure that the image you have saved for the upload actually is in .jpg format as with some graphics software it is not enough to use the “save as” function, the image must actually be “exported” in .jpg.
Moreover: sometimes, even after having followed the instructions to the letter the image is not recognised by the system. You can try again by saving the same image again in .jpg, but with different compression settings, or by using a different type of image software.

6. Since the launch of the new website I have stopped receiving Vita Europe’s newsletter. What happened? Can I subscribe again?

The newsletter will no longer be available in its old format. In its place you will find the Vita Alterts.
This is how they work: Lets say you are reading the news article “Social franchising: the new non profit frontier”.This article is associated to 4 tags: Social enterprise; Germany; Social franchising and Whos Who. Suppose that the topic is of interest to you and that you want to stay informed on issues relating to social enterprise. Clicking on any tag at the bottom of the article will take you to a page that contains all the articles tagged under that description.
What the Vita Alerts service enables you to do, is to be notified every time an article tagged with a subject matter that interests you is published. You can also choose how often to be sent be the alerts. Look out for the Vita Alerts widget on the top right hand corner of all articles published in Vita Europe.
